What counts as tight access
If a chipper won’t fit, we still go in.
Most tree services need a 6-foot wide path for a chipper and a place to drop a 20-foot log. When you don’t have that, most of them walk away. We don’t.
Decks, pools & gardens
Tree hanging over an above-ground pool, dropping leaves into a koi pond, or threatening a vegetable bed. We rig every piece down without dropping anything onto what’s underneath.
Between structures
Trees sandwiched between a house and a garage, or two feet from a neighbor’s property line. Controlled rigging keeps every cut piece in our airspace, not theirs.
How we do it
No chipper, no crane, no shortcut.

Walk the access
We meet you on-site, look at the tree, walk the path we’d carry debris through, and flag the fall zone. You see exactly what we’d do before any commitment.

Climb in, set the line
Hand climb, set a primary rigging line at the top, and tie in a secondary friction-hitch system. Every piece goes up or down on rope.
- 03
Section it down
Cut the tree into manageable rounds, lower each on the rigging line. Nothing free-falls, nothing hits the fence, the deck, the pool, or the garden.

Carry it out
Buck rounds into firewood-size pieces if you want to keep the wood, or stack them for haul-off. Brush goes out by hand, wheelbarrow, or tarp — whatever fits the access.

My tree fell into my backyard but the gate is too narrow for a chipper — can you still remove it?
Yes — that’s exactly the kind of work we take. Hand climbing, sectioning the tree into carryable pieces, and removing debris by hand (or wheelbarrow) through whatever access you have. We do this regularly across Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, and Cass counties.
Will you damage my fence, deck, or yard?
Every piece gets rigged down on a rope. Nothing falls uncontrolled. We lay down ground protection where needed and walk the access path with you before any cut.
Do you carry wood out or chip on site?
Either works. For tight access we often buck the wood into rounds you can keep for firewood and carry the brush out by hand — or haul everything if you’d rather not deal with it.
How much does tight-access removal cost vs open-access?
More — typically 30–60% above the same tree on an open lot, because the work takes longer and requires more rigging. We give free on-site estimates so you know the real number before any work starts.
