Weight reduction
Thinning the ends of heavy limbs to take load off weak unions — buys time on a tree you’re not ready to remove yet.

Pruning questions.
When is the best time to prune?
Most routine pruning happens in late winter / early spring before bud break. Deadwood and hazard limbs can come off any time. Flowering trees usually right after they finish blooming.
Do you mulch or haul?
Either works. For light jobs we chip on site; for bigger jobs we often stack firewood for you and haul brush.
Will pruning hurt the tree?
Done right, no — pruning stimulates healthy regrowth and removes weak structure before it fails.
How much does pruning cost?
Depends on species, size, and how much we’re taking off. Small jobs a few hundred dollars; full cleanups can run $1,000+. Free on-site estimates.
